McCain “suspends” campaign
Obama is looking cool and collected under the pressure of this financial crisis and McCain is acting completely out of control.
Here’s a thought though - maybe McCain is setting this up so he can replace Palin with a finance guy as his VP and he’s stacking the deck so he can deal those cards the way he wants…
Philosopher-uberconservative (and fellow agnostic) George Will can’t stand Sarah Palin. And neither can I… Mac could most definitely still pull this election out though: could be like Gore/Bush in that Obama wins the popular vote and McCain gets the electoral college.
Something very interesting from Mr. Will at the end of his 9/23/08 Wash Post op-ed, after castigating McCain for his knee-jerk “Fire Christopher Cox!” (head of the SEC) diatribe: “It is arguable that, because of his inexperience, Obama is not ready for the presidency. It is arguable that McCain, because of his boiling moralism and bottomless reservoir of certitudes, is not suited to the presidency. Unreadiness can be corrected, although perhaps at great cost, by experience. Can a dismaying temperament be fixed?”
