I gotta say, for Hillary Clinton to bring up Zimbabwe as an example of “injustice” is just obscene, to quote Australia’s foreign minister about Bob Mugabe’s presence at today’s UN food forum. Ya know. I was just writing this and had an epiphany, maybe Hillary is doing everything she can to elect Obama. I mean, think about it. Hillary definitely wants a Democrat and if it can’t be her, she’s an insightful enough politician to “vet” Obama before the Republicans can. Hillary’s close and she’s got some feeble arguments so she owes it to herself and everyone who believes in her to play it out, but she’s not an idiot. There will be no Swift Boat this year because Barrack is going to have already been put through the wringer. . Against a normal Republican that might work, but against John McCain, there is the “maverick” and “independent” and “war hero from a family of war heroes” image to work against. The mood of the country has chosen the two finest candidates from a large field - a Man, John McCain, who faced up to the core of the Republican party, lost in 2000, retooled himself and won in 2008. Men who are John’s age don’t change - this is the same man he was in 2000, but he got savvy. And, a Man, Barrack Obama, who will have outmaneuvered the full power of the Clinton machine. A black man with a black wife and black children, a cancer-dead white mother who partially raised him in Indonesia, a Muslim father from Kenya, a white grandfather who was a soldier in Europe, a grass-roots everyday-man community organizer with soaring rhetoric.

Good heavens.

So, um.. Would someone PLEASE invade Zimbabwe?! and, while you’re at it, zap Myanmar back into Burma too. Thanks.

(BTW,  my pitching is absolutely pathetic.  90% of my pitchers are having career-worst years.  I’m in 8th place.)
